EB 80 Electrical modules - S
EB 80 Wireless and Signal Modules. The EB 80 system includes signal management modules and the Wireless module, which integrates Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi to access EB 80 I4.0 advanced diagnostics. This ensures safer, more efficient maintenance in line with Industry 4.0 principles. All modules can be added at any time by simply removing the side plate, mounting the module, and closing it again. Signal modules consist of a common lower part and an interchangeable upper part, easily replaced in case of failure or to change function. The Wireless module communicates with smartphones and tablets via the “Metal Work EB80Up” app and allows network parameter setup for Ethernet connections using the MQTT protocol.
EB 80 Electrical connection - E
Electrical Connection – E. The “Electrical Connection – E” module powers EB 80 systems, transmits control signals to solenoid valves, manages input/output and provides diagnostics. Available in both multipole connector and Fieldbus versions, the valve island operates seamlessly with either, ensuring full compatibility of valves, bases and intermediate elements (patented). Its smart electronics enable advanced diagnostics and a wide power supply range: the same island can run at 12 or 24 VDC, with overvoltage tolerance up to 30% (patented). Multipole versions feature a one-piece metal body, including IO-Link 64 Out, while Fieldbus versions combine a metal lower body with a technopolymer upper part tailored to the specific protocol.
EB 80 Compressed-air supply - P
Pneumatic Supply – P. “P” modules supply air to valve bases and collect exhausts, with fittings for different tube sizes. They can operate with or without pilot supply (recommended), easily set via the orange gasket. Exhaust ports 3 and 5 can be vented or piped, even separated to manage pressures from vacuum to 8 bar. A version for Fieldbus islands with signal-only modules is also available.
EB 80 Bases for valves - B
Valve Bases – B. EB 80 bases are available with 3 or 4 positions. The version with a single electrical command per position is designed for 5/2 single solenoid valves, while the dual-command version is compatible with all valve types. Electronics manage both multipole and Fieldbus signals, making the base universal for any control system. Ports 2 and 4 feature replaceable push-in cartridges to adapt tube diameters. In 4-position bases, air channels are through-type, while 3-position bases can be sectioned to create zones with different pressures.
EB 80 Valves
EB 80 Valves. EB 80 valves, only 14 mm wide, deliver high flow rates, eliminating the need for multiple sizes and simplifying component management. Available in all main pneumatic schemes, from 2/2 to 5/3, they mount on the base with two robust M4 captive screws and come with accessories such as monostable or bistable manual overrides, LEDs, diagrams and identification plates. The range also includes high-flow versions, a bypass element to boost supply and exhaust or create special circuits, the V3V shut-off valve to isolate the island, and blanking plates to close unused positions.
EB 80 proportional pressure regulator - A
EB 80 Proportional Pressure Regulator. The EB 80 regulator ensures precise and reliable pressure control via electrical command. It can be installed anywhere on the island, with external M12 connection (Volt, mA, RS232) for multipole systems or fully integrated for Fieldbus versions. Up to 16 regulators can be mounted on one island, even without solenoid valves. Closed-loop operation with a sensor and two mini-solenoid valves provides fast corrections. Available with display for monitoring and diagnostics or without, for remote setup. Regulation can be local, with front outlet, or in-line, supplying the entire island with the set pressure.
EB 80 Intermediate suport - M
Intermediate Modules – M. EB 80 intermediate modules increase flow capacity, divide the island into zones with different pressures, or provide extra electrical supply, also allowing partial island shutdown in emergencies. They can be placed in any position and are available with fittings for different tube sizes. Exhaust ports 3 and 5 can be vented or piped, even separated to handle pressures from vacuum to 8 bar. The lower body comes in versions with through channels or closed ports.
EB 80 Closed end-plate - C
The "Closed end-plate - C" is the last element of each EB 80 system. A version for islands with multi-pole connector is available. One for islands with fieldbus, containing a small electronic board; one for connection to other additional EB 80 islands (only for systems with fieldbus). The end plate houses the system for mechanically fixing the island to external supports
EB 80 Multi-function module - L
Multifunction Module. The multifunction module enhances EB 80 systems by allowing pressure and flow regulation, manual shut-off and pressure check on each port. It can be added at any time, even in series, with different functions on the two ports. It uses Ø 8 mm cartridge fittings, interchangeable with EB 80 bases; if a different size is needed, cartridges can be replaced. Code and diagram are laser-marked on the technopolymer body.
EB 80 BOXI
BOXI – Compact Electropneumatic System BOXI, derived from EB 80 technology, is the ideal compact solution when only a few valves are needed and no I/O management is required. It integrates pneumatic and electrical connections, control electronics and can host 4, 6, 8 or 12 EB 80 valves of any type, including high-flow versions. It operates at 12–24 VDC with single or double command bases featuring interchangeable fittings. Each valve requires only 0.3 W to hold, while built-in diagnostics (open circuit, overload, over/undervoltage) are indicated by LEDs. Multifunction modules can be connected, and in 6-, 8- or 12-position versions, an additional supply and exhaust module can be added.
